“Tis’ the Season” for Holiday Team Building

and Holiday Private Parties!

Food always brings people together, so spend an evening with co-workers outside the office and enjoy Holiday cooking. With the assistance of our chefs, guests will work together to prepare a delicious, gourmet meal with recipes from CHEF JOHN BOGAN RECIPES FROM THE SEASONS OF MY LIFE cook book, which could be duplicated at

your own Holiday party.

 

As we get into the Holiday spirit, guests will listen to their favorite Christmas carols while enjoying Holiday Popovers. Even better, to spice things up, Chef John will provide guests with a toast of sparkling wine, the perfect chance to wish everyone a happy and healthy new year in

this three to four hour event.

 

To ensure the night is warm and merry, once the meal preparation is complete, guests can relax and mingle among themselves over a beautiful,

candlelit dinner they personally prepared.

Join The Lake Geneva School of Cooking as we celebrate dining around the world!

A culinary field trip to any new city or country is always about the dining experience. At the Lake Geneva School of Cooking we will explore cuisine from Paris, Napa Valley, Tuscany, our Americana, local Lake Geneva and Holidays.

​

Dinner Time, Wine Time takes you cities around the world and offers a menu that is sure to inspire a return trip!

Enjoy a Sparkling Wine Reception with cheese Popovers, as the Chef introduces himself and his staff and reviews the “city themed” menu, and demonstrates a few basic cuts and important safety techniques before getting broken up into teams.

Then let the "hands-on" cooking begin as you slice, dice, chop, laugh, and dance while each team creates a delicious dish from each city’s four-course menu under the guidance of Chef and the Lake Geneva School of Cooking staff.

After all the cooking is done, everyone will sit down for a fine dining experience with a gourmet meal that you helped create.

Warm weather brings outdoor activities and nothing says

“The great outdoors” ~ like the Thrill of Grilling!

From appetizer to dessert, we'll keep you

fired up about Grilling!

Start your Thrill of the Grill class with a Sparkling Wine Reception with Parmigiano Popovers while Chef introduces himself and the team, reviews some favorite grilling recipes, demonstrates some basic cuts and reviews important safety techniques before breaking the class into cooking teams.

 

Then let the "Hands-On" cooking begin, as you learn professional techniques for charring and searing as well as mastering how to keep meats, seafood, fruits, and vegetables

tender, juicy, and flavorful.

 

After all the cooking is done, everyone will sit down for a fine dining experience with a

gourmet meal that will be sure to make you feel like a true

"King of the Grill".

My Life in France with Julia Child

The Lake Geneva School of Cooking celebrates the recipes and cuisine of Julia Child and honoring her memoir,

My Life in France.

 

Julia’s fun and approachable cooking style allows everyone to feel at home in the kitchen.  Her witty character and passion for sharing her love of cooking allows Chef John to create a relaxed feel to this class.  Whether you’re looking to add a little French inspiration into your cooking or just have an entertaining evening out ~ this is the class for you!

 

In this hands-on class, you will learn how to make the best of Julia’s very own recipes. Her goal was to make all home chefs feel comfortable and confident in the kitchen, even when preparing fine foods and intimidating recipes. 

 

The Lake Geneva School of Cooking embraces this approach and brings it to life with an intuitive and enjoyable culinary event.

Once this hands-on class is complete, we will do as Julia did:

 “Take off our aprons and enjoy our meal!”

Farmer's Market & More

At the Lake Geneva School of Cooking, we are committed to purchasing a portion of our meats, fruits and vegetables from producers who are dedicated toward environmentally-friendly farming, and who meet our high quality standards.

 

During warm-weather months, we offer classes that include trips to the Lake Geneva Farmers Market

to enjoy a bountiful selection of locally-grown fruits and vegetables. 

 

We also meet with local farmers regularly throughout the year, to ensure that cooking enthusiasts who attend our classes use only the finest ingredients to create fabulous appetizers, entrées and desserts.
